From bean to cup

De’Longhi’s coffee beans are grown following good, clean and fair guidelines, in the plantation Finca Rio Colorado, which is part of the Las Capucas Sustainable Village.

This Slow Food Community was created in 2021 and it’s located in Las Capucas, municipality of San Pedro de Copán, west of Honduras. Its aim is to ensure the commercialization of good quality coffee and generate economic income for the families of coffee producers committed to the environment and productive sustainability, training them in Slow Food values.

The high quality of the beans has been tested by the coffee expert Andrej Godina, following the Specialty Coffee Association’s criterias. Different, natural, essential: get ready for a coffee like no other.

À travers ce parcours, nous nous engageons à donner aux amateurs de café les moyens de créer leur boisson favorite de manière plus responsable. En donnant un meilleur aperçu des personnes et des processus présents tout au long de la chaîne de valeur du café.

Grâce à notre partenariat avec la Slow Food Coffee Coalition, nous œuvrons pour soutenir les activités des producteurs de café et donner aux agriculteurs les moyens d’agir en faisant mieux connaître aux consommateurs leurs meilleures pratiques et leur engagement à produire un café bon, propre et équitable.

La Slow Food Coffee Coalition est un réseau international ouvert et collaboratif, qui réunit tous les participants impliqués dans la chaîne d’approvisionnement du café, des agriculteurs aux consommateurs. Elle soutient également la création d’un système participatif de garantie (SPG) pour identifier le café bon, propre et équitable.
« Nous travaillons avec les producteurs en leur fournissant un système de garantie participatif, une certification basée sur la confiance et la collaboration, et qui ne leur impose aucune charge financière », explique Emanuele Dughera, coordinatrice de la Slow Food Coffee Coalition.
