Wat is een mobiele airconditioner? Hoe werkt het?

Mobiele airconditioners zijn stand-alone units die specifieke gebieden of kamers koelen. Ze bestaan uit een compressor, condensor, verdamper en ventilator. Ze onttrekken warme lucht aan de ruimte, koelen deze af door middel van de koelcyclus en laten vervolgens de koele lucht weer in de ruimte stromen. De warme lucht wordt doorgaans afgevoerd via een afvoerslang die bij een raam of een andere geschikte afvoer geplaatst kan worden.

Hoe kies je een mobiele airconditioner

Wanneer je een mobiele airconditioner wil aanschaffen, zijn er verschillende factoren die je in overweging moet nemen. Om te beginnen de koelcapaciteit (gemeten in BTU’s of kW), die altijd overeen moet komen met de grootte van de ruimte die je wilt koelen. Andere factoren zijn energie-efficiëntie, geluidsniveau, extra functies zoals programmeerbare timers en afstandsbediening, en de algehele kwaliteit en betrouwbaarheid van het apparaat. Power (BTU and kW vs. Room Size)

The cooling power ise measured in BTUs (British Thermal Units) or in kiloWatts. As a general guideline, the choice of BTUs and kWs must be based primarily on room size: higher BTU ratings and higher kW for larger rooms and lower ratings for smaller spaces. However, it's important to note that other factors, such as insulation and heat sources, can influence the cooling requirements.
For rooms up to 85m3 you can choose an element with around 9000 BTU or 2 - 2,5 kW. For bigger spaces, up to 100m3, better to choose units from 9000 to 12000 BTUs (2,6 to 3 kW). Some of De'Longhi most powerful units can reach up to 13000 BTUs (3,3 kW) and are suitable for areas bigger than 120m3.

Heating Function and Dehumidification Function

The dehumidification function helps to remove excess moisture from the air, improving comfort and reducing the risk of mould growth. This function can be used, for example, in a very humid room or at certain times of the year when the humidity is particularly high. The heating function, available on the De'Longhi PAC EL92HP, allows the appliance to provide warmth during the colder months, making it a versatile appliance that can be used all year round.

Energieverbruik

Mobiele airconditioners hebben meestal een energie-efficiëntieklasse die hun energiebesparende capaciteiten aangeeft, zodat gebruikers een geïnformeerde keuze over hun efficiëntie kunnen maken. In Europa wordt de energie-efficiëntie van mobiele airconditioners meestal aangegeven door het Europees energie-efficiëntiecertificaat. Dit certificaat gebruikt een schaal van A+++ (meest efficiënt) tot D (minst efficiënt).
