Van boon tot kopje

De koffiebonen van De’Longhi worden geteeld volgens goede, zuivere en eerlijke richtlijnen. Dit gebeurt op de plantage Finca Rio Colorado, wat deel uitmaakt van de duurzaamheidsgemeenschap Las Capucas.

Deze Slow Food-gemeenschap werd in 2021 opgericht. De gemeenschap bevindt zich in Las Capucas, wat tot de gemeente San Pedro de Copán behoort, ten westen van Honduras. De gemeenschap streeft naar de commercialisering van kwalitatief hoogstaande koffie om een inkomen te genereren voor de gezinnen van de koffieproducenten. Deze producenten zetten zich in voor het milieu en voor productieve duurzaamheid. Bovendien worden ze opgeleid in de Slow Food-waarden.

De hoge kwaliteit van de bonen werden getest door koffie-expert Andrej Godina, volgens de criteria van de Specialty Coffee Association. Anders, natuurlijk, essentieel: maak je op voor koffie die als geen andere smaakt.

This journey is our commitment to empowering coffee lovers to make more responsible coffee choices by giving greater insight into the people and processes along the coffee value chain.

Thanks to our partnership with Slow Food Coffee Coalition, we aim to support the activities of coffee producers and empower farmers by increasing consumer knowledge of their best practices and their commitment to producing good, clean and fair coffee.

The Slow Food Coffee Coalition is an international open and collaborative network, uniting all the participants involved in the coffee supply chain, from farmers to consumers. It also supports the creation of a Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) to identify Good, Clean and Fair Coffee.
